Sony A68 SLT Camera With 4 D Focus System Launched
Sony has launched a new SLT range Alpha mount camera, A68. The A68 camera features Sony’s 4D Focus system. It is compatible with A-mount lenses. The camera features a 2.7-inch TFT LCD Display with resolution of 460k dots ( Sony Xperia Z5 Dual Specs. ). You will also get an electronic viewfinder which is an Oled panel with a resolution of 1.4 million dots. It offers 100 % frame coverage. In comparison to A77II, the A68 has some great features like, BIONZ X processor, the 79-point auto-focus system and the 24-megapixel Exmor sensor etc.
In a press release by Sony, A68 can attach a big collection of A-mount for the creative photographers. A68 has a unique 4D focus feature, which can become the first preference to buy this camera. It is a part of Sony’s SLT lineup of cameras which look like DSLRs, but don’t work exactly like them. The mirror in the A68 is fixed. The camera supports Full-HD video recording up to 50Mbps in XAVC S format.
It features phase-detection auto-focus that can do continuous auto-focus. The frame per second speed may be a little slower than A77II, but it is good for a nice photography. It also has image sensor shift mechanism, stereo microphone, NP-FM500H rechargeable battery.
The a68 will go on sale in Europe starting March 2016. It can cost about Rs. 42,000 to 50,000.
