Stop Showing Most Used Apps

There is an option in the start menu panel of most used apps list. It is the list of apps that you have used recently and most opened. Maybe you don’t want your boss to notice the things you use the most outside your work. You just want to keep the list to a minimum. You can remove the apps from the list by just one or two clicks. Right Click on the app and select Don’t Show in this list. Now in this way you can shortlist all the app.

Windows Can Scale Your Display

1.Right click on the display, then select display setting.

2.Now scroll down for a slider marked “Change the size of text, apps and other items”.

3.You can drag this in 25 % increments. Then click apply.

In the default panel view, you will only see 4 Quick Action Buttons. If you are using a desktop PC or laptop, you will find some of the following : – superfluous, tablet mode etc. Now follow this way. Start => Setting => System => Notifications & Actions. Now click on any of the 4 buttons under “ choose your quick actions”.


You will see a drop-down there, in which you can select a new function to replace the existing one. Enabling you to swap the Tablet mode button for, say, the Quiet Hours button to quickly switch off all notifications. Bring in a brightness control for quick adjustments to your laptop’s screen.

Fix File Explorer

Windows 10’s File Explorer puts the focus on the Quick Access view where Windows tracks the files and folders you’ve been using frequently and recently and puts them right at your fingertips to use them easily. It may be a good idea but, those who are working with the old version of Windows for many years, sometime prefers to have things organized by the old way. They are very familiar to the old version. You can revert to the more traditional approaches. Now you should read these steps. Open File Explorer and click the view tab. Click the option button and then “change folder and search options”. You will see “Open File Explorer to Quick Access” . Set the drop-down to this PC. Click for apply it. Now this PC view with all your primary folders and drives are ready to go.

Use Find My Device

Find my device is a good option in case you lost your device. Windows 10 is now installed on many tablets and laptops. You finally have the device location feature that iOS and Android users take for granted. To use this function, you must logged on your administrator account. Now follow this => Click Start => Settings => Upload and Security => Find My Device. You can see there a button marked as Change Under “ Find My Device is Off”. Click change and turn the “ Save my device’s location periodically” slider to ON.

If you want to find your device, open your browser and then go to account. Go to the URL microsoft.com/devices. Log in to your account and you will see your tablet and laptop under “your devices”. Click on Find My Device and the last spot where your device was online will be located on the map. You can track your device.
